ADOPTION INFORMATION

Adopting an animal is a decision that will affect you, your household, and your new pet for many years to come.  It's important that you and your family come out to the shelter and plan to spend some time getting to know the animal that you're hoping to adopt.  

We make every effort to provide you with all of the information that we know about an animal on a card that is posted on the animal's kennel in our adoption rooms.  Our staff includes a behavior specialist and volunteers who are available to answer questions and assist you with the selection process.  While we are committed to helping you find the perfect pet, we can't guarantee that an adoption will take place.

If you don't find that special friend on the first visit, we encourage you to return on another day.  We have all breeds and sizes, and animals arrive and are adopted daily.

• Must be 18 years of age or older for standard adoptions
• Must complete a pre-adoption application
• Must have valid ID with current address
• Must provide Landlord's name and phone number (or copy of current lease)
• All members of household should be present
• Adoption fees are the following:
  • Kittens and Cats:  $80.00
  • Dogs (any canine 5 months of age and older):  $90.00 (unless otherwise posted)
    Puppies (any canine under 5 months of age): $125.00 (unless otherwise posted)
  • Cats:  (previously altered) $50.00
  • Pups on Parole: $145.00
    

• Distemper combo vaccination (for dogs) or FVRCP vaccination (for cats) 
• Deworming
• Spaying or neutering
• Microchip
• 30 days of free pet insurance (for this important transition period)
• 4 lb. bag of Science Diet pet food for cats
• 5 lb. bag of Science Diet pet food for dogs

Tuesday - Friday

11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturday

11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Closed Sundays, Mondays and all major holidays
